I’m about to embark on my Erasmus journey, and I couldn’t be more excited. A new country, a new culture, and endless possibilities to explore! But as I started planning my Erasmus, I realized something: I wanted to experience everything, but I didn’t know where to start. I didn’t want to miss out on any opportunity to travel and make the most of my time abroad.

Determined not to waste a single moment, I began searching the internet for ways to explore Europe on a student budget. I wanted a resource that could give me travel ideas, and trips specifically for Erasmus students like me. But after hours of searching, I couldn’t find anything that really fit what I needed. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I started creating a simple product just for myself, organizing it into three categories that covered all the types of trips I wanted to take:

  • Best Quality/Price: I knew I needed to be smart with my money, so I wanted to find destinations that offered amazing experiences without costing a fortune. This category was all about finding the best value for my budget.

  • Cities with Good Nightlife: Like many students, I was interested in experiencing the social scene (you know what I mean) in different cities. This category helps find places with fun bars, clubs, and events where you can meet new people and enjoy your evenings.

  • Cities with Current Events: I also wanted to be in the right place at the right time. From music festivals to cultural events, this category was about making sure I didn’t miss out on any exciting happenings.
As I continued developing my project, I shared it with a friend who's also embarking on an Erasmus adventure this year. His enthusiasm made me realize that if we both found it useful, other Erasmus students might too. That's when the idea struck me: why not create a newsletter to share this valuable information with everyone?

And that’s how the idea for my newsletter was born. What started as a personal project has now become a resource for all Erasmus students.
